John E. Lynch, Jr., 85, of Greensburg, died Thursday, February 13, 2025, in Delray Medical Center, Delray Beach, FL. He was born April 28, 1939, in Greensburg, a son of the late John E., Sr. and Ann C. (Lawrence) Lynch. John grew up in South Greensburg and graduated from South Greensburg Jr High in 1955 and Greensburg High School in 1957. Prior to retirement he had been the owner and operator of Ace Thoroclean Services and co-owner with his family of Woodside Village Mobile Home Park. John was a United States Army Veteran serving two years. He was a lifetime member of BPOE Elks, a past president of South Greensburg Lions Club, and a member and past president of Americanization Mutual Society of South Greensburg. John loved golfing, especially at Hannastown Golf Club, where he was a member for many years. He also enjoyed boating with his family and spending the winter in Florida with Neena. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his godson, Matthew Bono. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Neena Marie (Bono) Lynch; his children John E. Lynch, III (Karen), Lori A. Telford (Jeffrey) and Michael T. Lynch (Golden); eight grandchildren, Melissa Hebert (Matt), Heather Henry (Dan), Shane Lynch (Ginny), Logan Telford (Fiancé Lauren), Noah Telford (Fiancé Jordyn), Kellie Lynch, Zachary Lynch, and Megan Lynch; four great grandchildren, Dylan and Dean Henry, and Catherine and Jacob Hebert; a brother, George R. Lynch; a brother-in-law, Thomas Bono; a sister-in-law, Frances Latshaw; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday in St. Bruno Catholic Church, Greensburg. Please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. www.bachafh.com
