John C. Dydiw

John C. Dydiw, 68, of Greensburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born December 26, 1954, in Waynesville, NC. John was a 1973 graduate of Hempfield Area High School, then attended University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg and Denver Institute of Technology, where he obtained an associate degree. During his high school and college days, John was always on the courts doing what he enjoyed most, basketball. He was an active golfer for many years and enjoyed reading. Prior to retirement, John had been a longtime employee of Walmart Corporation. John is preceded in death by his father, Walter Dydiw. He is survived by his beloved mother, Vera (Lopachuk) Dydiw, of Greensburg, his loving siblings, Landis L. Dydiw, of Chesapeake, VA, and Wendy L. Brewer (Scott), of Sewickley; aunt, Anne Husar (102), of Canada; and several cousins in the United States and Canada. Honoring John’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. Services were private and a private interment took place at Westmoreland County Memorial Park. LEO M.
