Joanne C. (Church) Vallano, 79, of Greensburg, died Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born December 20, 1942, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Joseph Church. Prior to retirement she had been employed as a phlebotomist at several different laboratory locations. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg and was an American Red Cross Volunteer, assisting with the blood drives. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn M. Carr; and sister, Elizabeth Planz. She is survived by her husband Donald “Tom” Vallano; her sons, Patrick T. Vallano (Traci), of Morgantown, WV, Christopher A. Vallano, of Greensburg, John G. Vallano, of Greensburg, and Michael J. Vallano (Anne), of Austin, TX; 10 grandchildren, Ben Vallano, Matthew Vallano, Mallory Vallano, Nicholas Vallano, Marcus Vallano, Lucas Vallano, Eli Carr, Grant Carr, Dominick Vallano, and Anthony Vallano; her brother Ray Church (Laurie), of Florida; two sisters, Mary Kathleen Norris, of Maryland, Diana Spence, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
