Joanne Trout Obituary

Joanne T. Trout, 75, of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, was born on April 23, 1950, and passed away on February 9, 2026. She was a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and boundless love, whose life reflected her devotion to Jesus and to the people God placed in her path.

Joanne was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John and Thelma (Steinmetz) Koenig. She is survived by her dearly loved husband, Larry K. Trout, whose life she shared with unwavering devotion; her children, Christopher, Diane, and Isabella (Kolton); and her stepdaughter, Lisa (Marco) Tabita, whom she loved as her own. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Caleb Love (Cassie) and Addalynn Trout; and a cherished sister to Margaret Graswick, Eileen Claus, and Terrence (Karen) Koenig; sister-in-law to Debbie (Rick) Wiater, Mary Lou Trout and Joan Trout; and numerous nieces and nephews she treasured.

Above all else, Joanne loved Jesus. Her faith was not only spoken but lived—through constant prayer for her family, friends, and even strangers she encountered. She carried others’ burdens to God with sincerity and compassion, believing deeply in the power of prayer.

Joanne expressed her love through her hands. She found joy in sewing blankets for family and friends, creating costumes for Word of Life, where she was a devoted member, and making clothing for missionary trips—each stitch a reflection of her servant’s heart. Her creativity was a ministry, offering warmth, dignity, and love to those near and far.

She retired from working at a bread store, where she became known and loved by customers. Even after retirement, Joanne could hardly go anywhere without being warmly greeted—her kindness and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Joanne will be remembered for her faithful heart, generous spirit, and the love she poured so freely into others. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the prayers she lifted, and the countless acts of love she quietly gave.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the LEO M.
