JoAnne M. Liston

JoAnne M. Liston, 68, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in Greene Health & Rehab Center, surrounded by her friends and family. She was born May 12, 1957, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late George A. and Josephine M. (Conde) Bayura. JoAnne was a graduate of Greensburg Salem Senior High School. She was employed with both the United Way of Westmoreland County and later, Allegheny County for 20 years. She then followed that with nine years at the Neurological Institute of Western PA in the billing department and as a Billing Supervisor. JoAnne’s true passion was her children, her grandchildren, and helping anyone and any cat she could. She was very generous, often giving her time and money to total strangers. Her smile could light up a room, and her quick wit and sense of humor always made her the life of the party. Most of all, her ability to provide strength, love, and wisdom at times of adversity will be missed by all that knew and loved her. JoAnne is survived by her two children, Stephen Liston (Kate) and Danielle Adams (James); her grandchildren Ethan, Eva, and Easten Adams; her sister Georganne Smith; her brother David Bayura (Kim), as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral mass on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Our Lady of Grace Church at 10 AM to celebrate her life. Please go directly to the church.
