James Petzel Obituary

James F. Petzel, 83, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, in Greene Health & Rehab in Greensburg. He was born November 24, 1940, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Joseph A. and Michaelina C. (Isola) Petzel. Jim retired from West Penn Power. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. Jim was a graduate of Connellsville Area High School class of 1958. He was an avid bowler for over 50 years, participating in many leagues and enjoyed teaching others of all levels. Jim was also a member of Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Niedwick.  He is survived by his children, Angela (Joe) Siecinski of Mt. Pleasant, Lori (Ron) Garvey of Aliquippa, Jim (Terri) Petzel of Plum, and Jodi (RJ) Repasky of Greensburg; seven grandchildren, Adam Siecinski (Jamie), Abigael Siecinski (Scotty Poepoe), Ronnie Garvey (Amanda), Sydney Repasky, Rian Garvey, Dylan Repasky and Kayla Repasky (Jesse Wolfe); three great-grandchildren, Knox Carter Siecinski, and Weston and Bowen Repasky; his brother, Joseph Petzel of Brownsville; and several nieces and nephews.  A funeral mass will be held Monday, November 4, 2024, at 10 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church in Greensburg.
