James R. Frantz

James R. Frantz, 72, of Unity Township, died Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at Latrobe.  He was born March 6, 1953 in Greensburg, the son of the late George R. and Mary R. (Fait) Frantz.  He was a graduate of Greater Latrobe High School and previously worked at the former Walworth Valve Company, South Greensburg.  He loved riding his motorcycle and was always willing to help others.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Palmer (David) and brother-in-law Jay Gregory.  He is survived by two sisters, Sandra Gregory and Marcia Kostley, 6 nieces, Lori Piscione, Jami Altman, Brooke Belak, Joani Pletcher, Melanie Boarts and Kayla Palmer James, 9 great nieces and nephews, Lee, Samantha, Rocco, Connor, Kendall, Noah, Rylie, Ryder and Rowan and a great great niece, Sadie.  Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity where funeral services will be held at 11 AM with Pastor Elaine Frantz officiating.  Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
