James V. Brooks, Sr.

James V. Brooks Sr., 79, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, at his home. He was born Dec. 21, 1943, in Greensburg. Prior to retirement, he was the owner of James Brooks & Sons. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg, where he and his wife, Bonnie, were married on Dec. 18, 1960. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Brooks Sr.; his mother and stepfather, Mildred (Giannilli) and Clarence Baker; his brother, John Brooks; and his sister, Roseyln Brooks. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bonnie (Collins) Brooks; three sons, James Brooks Jr. and fiancee, Kim White, Ronald Brooks and fiancee, Angie Pickford, and Brian Brooks and wife, Lisa; four grandchildren, Brieghlyn Brooks, Stefani Boysle and husband, John, Emily Piccolino and husband, Vinnie, and Hannah Brooks and fiance, Steffon Weston; four great-grandchildren, Cooper, Sawyer, Makenzie and Maylah; his brother, Norman Brooks and wife, Peggy; and his nephew, Norman Brooks Jr. There will be no public visitation.
