James E. "Gus" Baughman

James E. "Gus" Baughman, 69, of Unity Township, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at home. He was born June 19, 1954, in Latrobe, a son of the late Clarence Thomas Sr. and Helen D. (Carney) Baughman. He was a graduate of Latrobe High School, previously worked at Volkswagen in New Stanton, and prior to retirement, worked at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. Gus enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football and NASCAR and was a member of Hecla Sportsmen's Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy A. Baughman. He is survived by three children, Tracey Moninger and husband, Doug, of Kecksburg, James E. Baughman Jr., of Mt. Pleasant, and Billie Jo David and husband, Bill, of Avon Lake, Ohio; six grandchildren, Mariah Baughman, Jacob Daugherty, Emily Baughman, Liam David, Claire David and Julia David; two sisters, Cindy Kemp and husband, Benjamin, of Welcome, Md., and Judy Cenizal and husband, Dr. Jesus, of Greensburg; a brother, Clarence Thomas Baughman Jr. and wife, Carole, of Pleasant Unity; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no visitation or services.
