Helen R. Lubash, 92, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at AHN Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born November 14, 1931 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Andrew and Rose (Borak) Vinoski. Prior to retirement she worked as a nurse’s aide at Oak Hill Nursing Home, Greensburg. She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church where she served as Eucharistic Minister, festival helper and altar server for funerals. Helen enjoyed crocheting, baking, gardening and canning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Lubash, Sr.; her sons, Thomas E., Jr. and Andrew Lubash; four sisters, Sophie Fraysher, Genevieve Sherwood, Catherine Frazier and Frances Benford; and five brothers, Edward, Walter, Thomas, Theodore and Paul Vinoski. She is survived by her daughters, Bernadette Moore (Christopher) of Derry and Cynthia DeRunk (Mike) of Butler; three grandchildren, Kelly Anderson (Leroy), Jessi Mae Chockley (Charlie) and Sarah Lubash; two great grandchildren; a sister, Rose Marie Cowan of Connellsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Bruno Catholic Church, Greensburg.
