Glenn A. “Bimzy” Thomas, 66, of Southwest Greensburg, died Friday, November 28, 2025, in his home. He was born on May 17, 1959, in Greensburg, a son of the late Lenora J. Thomas. Bimzy was a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School and had been employed by FC Meyer Packaging, Jeannette. He was a life member of Southwest Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed playing in the department softball league in his younger years. He cherished the moments he spent with his son, Evan, from helping coach his youth baseball team to their hours spent at the bowling alley.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sara A. (Plumb) Thomas, who affectionately called him “Puck”. He is survived by his loving son, Evan M. Thomas; two brothers, James L. Thomas and David A. Thomas (Cindy); niece and nephews and their children, Brian Thomas, David Thomas, Amanda Boyd, and Jason Thomas; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral liturgy will begin at 11 AM Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Southwest Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department, 401 Guthrie St., Greensburg, PA 15601. The Southwest Greensburg VFD will conduct a memorial service at 7 PM Monday in the funeral home. www.bachafh.com
