George M. Yatsko, 77, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at his home. He was born April 24, 1947, in Greensburg, a son of the late Michael A. and Olga (Tarbuck) Yatsko. George worked for Rockwell International Corp. in Kenton, OH, before retiring as facilities manager from the Elliott Company in Jeannette. He was a member of the Salvation Army, Latrobe. He was also a member of the Hilltop Club, Slavonic American Home Club, and the Police Rod and Gun Club. George enjoyed golf, fishing hunting, and shooting. He is survived by his wife, Virginia L. (Pennick) Yatsko; son, Todd Yatsko (Nina); daughter, Erin Yarkosky (Greg); six grandchildren, Tanner Yatsko (Tien), Brandon Yatsko, Emily Yatsko, Maddie Dirksen (Brad), and Kieran Yarkosky, and Tyler Yarkosky; a great grandson, Francis; and a sister, Marsha Taylor. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg where a funeral service will immediately follow at 7 PM with Majors Christopher and Jennifer Blessing officiating. Private entombment will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. The family has requested that you wear your favorite Steeler’s Jersey or hunting gear.
