Genevieve R. “Ginger” (Lengvinis) Pesarchick, 92, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. She was born September 14, 1931, in Kulpmont, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rosalia (Mockapetris) Lengvinis. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, member of the Resurrection Choir, and in charge of the CCD Religious Education program for many years. Ginger was a volunteer for many years at the St. Vincent DePaul store, lunchroom aide at Nicely Elementary School, and the Greensburg Library for their “Through the Looking Glass” preschool program. She was a participant in the Greensburg Aerobic Center “Silver Sneakers”. She enjoyed reading, baking, spending time with family, and watching her children and grandchildren in a variety of sports and activities. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John B. “Jack” Pesarchick, and her siblings Mary Zinke, Anthony Lengvinis, Ona Boyd and Theresa Breck. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl George (Rich); two sons, Bruce Pesarchick (Kim) and Alan Pesarchick (Amy Jacobs); five grandchildren, Tyler George (Alex), Lauren George, Annabelle, Jake, and Kate Pesarchick; and several nieces and nephews. Ginger’s children and grandchildren were the pride of her life. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 PM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. Please go directly to the church.
