Gary A. Maffit

Gary A. Maffit, 64, of South Greensburg, died Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in his home.  He was born December 14, 1961, in Greensburg, a son of the late Raymond E. Sr. and Dorothy G. (Smith) Maffit.  He was a member of the SNPJ Club, Greensburg, American Legion Post No. 981, South Greensburg, and the Roosevelt Club, Hempfield Township.  Gary enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, hunting, and fishing.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Hunter.  He is survived by his daughter, Amber Rugh (Jonthan); three grandchildren, Ethan and Eli Rugh, and Hayley Hunter; his brother, Raymond E. Maffit, Jr. (Sherry Santilli); his nephew, Raymond Maffit, III (Jessica); and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.  LEO M.
