Francis L. Kirk, 91, of Greensburg, died Monday, February 3, 2025, in Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born January 19, 1934, in Greensburg, a son of the late Francis L., Sr. and Mary C. (Van Horn) Kirk. Prior to retirement he had been employed by Thorofare and Supervalu. Fran was a 1953 graduate of Greensburg High School and a member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church in South Greensburg. He was a proud United States Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. Fran was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and enjoyed golfing and yardwork. Fran was a family man; he loved his children and grandchildren and was the best Dad ever. He was loyal and loving to his family, God, and his country. He was the most unselfish man anyone knew with a wicked sense of humor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret “Peggy” Patton, Jim Kirk, Jeanne Geary, Pat Kirk, and Gordon “Tim” Kirk; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sam and Susan Todaro. Fran is survived by his loving wife, Rosanne (Todaro) Kirk; four children, Timothy Kirk (Kathy), Mark Kirk, Gary Kirk (Jennifer), and Coleen Boswell; eight grandchildren, Tim (Kristen), Kelly (Jeff), Shane (Stephanie), Joe (Haley), Ed (Lindsey), Nick, Andrew, and Olivia; nine great grandchildren, Evelyn, Jamison, Lucy, Jackson, Levi, Wyatt, Emma, Mila, and Dylan; his brother-in-law, Tony Todaro; his sister-in-law, Grace Rosky; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church in South Greensburg with Full Military Honors accorded by the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg Honor Guard.
