Frances X. (Reardon) Wolf

Frances X. (Reardon) Wolf, age 95, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on June 27, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Greensburg, PA. Born September 8, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Kathryn (Mulligan) Reardon. Frances was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and, no matter where she lived or traveled, her heart was always in Brooklyn. She was defined by her love of family and was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. She was a woman of deep faith, compassion and love who encouraged others by her kind words that always offered hope and support. She found peace in nature whether enjoying a nice walk, time at the beach or tending the flowers in her garden. She was strengthened in her faith by attending Mass and participating in activities in Our Lady of Angels Church. 

Frances is survived by her children, Janice (Tom) Magnavita, of Middletown, NJ, Francine (Greg) Schimizzi, of Brooklyn, NY, Laura (Doug) Schon, of Springfield, NJ, Marie Scopa, of Fairfield, CT, Bill Wolf, of Las Vegas, NV, and Alicia (Dewey) Harter of Greensburg, PA; her grandchildren, Joseph (Adrienne) Schimizzi, Gregory Schimizzi, Candice Magnavita, and Alex and Tara Scopa; and great-grandchildren, Octavia Schimizzi and Charlotte Scopa. 

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, William; and her siblings, Kathryn Werth, Marion Sheridan, Peggy O’Connor, John Reardon, and Bob Reardon. 

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to commemorate her life, may make a donation to Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children, 135 Clelian Heights Lane, Greensburg, PA 15601. 

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 7320 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11209. Interment of ashes will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
