Eugenia Kubinec, 97, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Monroeville. She was born June 28, 1927, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Chmur) Fedoronko. She was a 1945 graduate of Jeannette High School. Eugenia attended Westmoreland Hospital School of Nursing, receiving her Registered Nursing degree in 1948 and her Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist degree in 1963. She was a member of the U.S. Cadet Nurses Corps. She retired from Jeannette District Memorial Hospital in 1989 after 26 years of service. Eugenia was a member of Harrold Zion Lutheran Church and was past President of the Harrold Seniors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Kubinec; twin brother, Boris Fedoronko; brother, Walter Fedoronko; two sisters, Olga Pavetti and Claudia Kraft; grandson, Jeremy Hicks; and granddaughter, Kimberly Hicks. She is survived by two daughters, Janet Sutton and husband Ernest, of Murrysville, and Barbara Hicks and husband Kenneth, of North Carolina; grandson, Joshua Hicks (Scarlet); three great grandchildren, Addison, Avery, and Archer; sister-in-law, Joyce Kubinec; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM Friday at Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, 671 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Greensburg. The Angels of Westmoreland Honor Guard will begin a memorial service at 11 AM at the church with a funeral service to immediately follow with the Rev. Andrew Fitch officiating.
