Eleanor Keenan Obituary

Eleanor W. Keenan, 101, of Greensburg, formerly of Irwin, died Monday, February 2, 2026, in Greene Health and Rehabilitation Center, Greensburg.  She was born on January 10, 1925, in Philadelphia.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg and a former member of St. Edward Parish, Herminie.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Keenan; her father, Charles C. Faust; her mother, Eleanor (Gilmour) Damm; and two brothers, Charles “Mickey” Faust and William Faust.  Eleanor is survived by six children, the Rev. Joseph Keenan, John Keenan, Kristine Scarpaci and husband, Melvin, Karen Townsend and husband, William, James Keenan and wife, Melanie, and Kelly Bacco and husband, John; eight grandchildren, Kelly Jennings (Leslie Jo), Patrick Townsend (Shanna), Rose Pennavaria (Justin), Kristine Samide (Adam), Courtney Shaffer, Christopher Keenan (Christine), Maria Yates (Drew), and Brian Bacco; and eight great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM Friday in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 300 N. Main St., Greensburg, PA 15601.  Please go directly to the church.  Private interment will take place in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.  The family would like to thank Greene Health and Rehab for the care Eleanor received over the past two years, and special thanks to the staff of Bridges Hospice for their loving care.  www.bachafh.com
