Eleanor E. Baum, 99, of Youngwood, formerly of Greensburg, died Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in Ridgeview Residential Care, Youngwood. She had been a resident at Ridgeview for nine years and brightened everyone’s life there. Eleanor was born July 19, 1925, in Humphreys, a daughter of the late Michael P., Sr. and Mary E. (Drapp) Bodnar. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. Eleanor was a wonderful aunt and was always helping so many family members. She enjoyed watching religious programs on television and had a devotion to the Blessed Mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell R. Baum; three brothers, Michael, Gabriel, and John Bodnar; and six sisters, Catherine Wright, Agnes Kusick, Theresa Gyescek, Anna Whitzel, Josephine Bodnar, and Marie Zelinsky. Eleanor is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great grand nieces, and great grand nephews. Prayers will begin at 9 AM Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 9:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.
