Dr. Patrick J. Vallano, DMD

Dr. Patrick J. Vallano, DMD, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home on January 15, 2026, following a brief illness. Born Aug 11, 1950, Pat was the son of the late Alfred and Mary Lou Vallano. He was a dedicated student of the sciences and humanities, graduating from the University of Pittsburgh before attending the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD). Following dental school, Pat proudly served his country as a Captain in the United States Air Force. Upon his return to Pennsylvania, he established his dental practice in Greensburg, where he served the community for many years until his retirement.

Pat balanced an active lifestyle with intellectual pursuits. He enjoyed racquetball, jogging, and bicycling, the tradition of family gatherings, and he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Pat was also a voracious reader with a particular affinity for philosophy and Greek literature, subjects that fueled his lifelong curiosity about the world.

Pat is survived by his former wife, Linda; daughters Dena (David) of Santa Cruz CA, Elissa of New York NY, Talia (Brian) of Wall, NJ; and grandchildren Emmet, Hamish, Margot, Maeve and Nora. He is also survived by brothers, Alfred (Jeanne) and Gary (Donna); sisters, Mary Lou (Steven) and Anita (Tom); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sister Diane.
