Douglas A. “Chumdog” McCormick, 59, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in his home. He was born February 12, 1965, in Greensburg, a son of the late William F. and Edith Fay “Dolly” (Gray) McCormick. Doug had worked as a parts technician for Smail Acura in Greensburg. He was a member of Fort Allen Fireman’s Club, Roosevelt Club, and Hecla Sportsman’s Club. Doug was a volunteer firefighter for Midway-St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years and Carbon Volunteer Fire Department for 22 years. He is survived by his significant partner, Anita Uncapher, of Greensburg; three siblings, Nancy Siegfried (Dick), of Ohio, Phil Laurella (Janet), of Greensburg, and Bill McCormick (Jamie), of Georgia; several nieces and nephews; and three fur babies, Bubba, Gizmo, and Trump. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 10 AM Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. Carbon Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a memorial service at 7 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
