Doris Marinelli Obituary

Doris (Cutia) Marinelli, 89, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 15, 2024, at home. She was born January 9, 1935, in Bovard, a daughter of the late Paul and Sarah (Malia) Cutaia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

A lifelong fan of Elvis Presley born one day before her, Doris enjoyed playing bocce, spending time with family and friends, and making sure everyone was well fed. She liked the Pittsburgh Steelers, loved T.J. Watt, but adored Patrick Mahomes. Catholic by faith, Doris was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Josephine Catanese, Rosalie Winslow, Grace Cacic, and Mary Kralik; and three brothers, Richard Catanese, Joseph Cutaia, and Salvatore Cutia. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Ralph Marinelli; three children, Cindy Alden, of Greensburg, Carol Mersereau, of Georgetown, Texas, and Vincent (Anne Marie) Marinelli, of Mechanicsburg; four grandchildren, Sarah Childs (Joe) Soliz, Maria (Nicholas) Jones, Angela (Jacob) Lamirande, and Veronica Marinelli; great grandson, Giovanni Raphael Soliz; and many nieces and nephews.

She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. The family wishes to thank all who provided Doris with great care and friendship, especially Rachael, Karen, Keji, Imisi, Carmella, Maureen, and Mary, all present during the final days.
