Donna M. (Rivardo) Lawton

Donna M. Lawton, 80, of Unity Township, died Monday, May 27, 2024, in Brookdale Senior Living, Latrobe.  She was born October 15, 1943, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Albert and Teresa (Fedon) Rivardo.  Donna was a graduate of Franklin Regional High School Class of 1961 and graduated in 1984 from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.  Prior to retirement, she held several different secretarial positions, including the Department of State and most recently, the Westmoreland County Courthouse.  Donna was an extremely talented artist.  In addition to her artwork, she enjoyed reading, animals, and going to casinos with her friends.  Above all though, Donna loved the time she spent with her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Rivardo.  She is survived by her son, Dennis Lawton and wife Jenine; her daughter, Susy Lawton; five grandchildren, Owen, Shea, Sydney, Emily, and Leo; her brother, William Rivardo; her sister, Elaine More and husband Fernando; and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 3 to 7 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral liturgy will begin at 11 AM Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, O.S.B. as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wildlife Works, Inc., P.O.
