Obituary
Donna A. George, 72, of Pleasant Unity, died Sunday, February 19, 2023. She was born August 19, 1950 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Samuel and Estelle (Keeports) Ardire. Donna was a member of Journey Church and enjoyed making her own greeting cards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Theodora Ardire and a sister, Patricia Rineer. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, The Rev. John W. George, her daughter, Barbara George of Pleasant Unity and her fiancé Barry Fazekas, her son, Michael George and wife Jennifer of Lititz, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a sister, Virginia Reese of Acme, a niece, 4 nephews and her caregiver, Donna McLean and her children, Ben and Dottie. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 PM Wednesday at the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 2 PM in Journey Church, 311 Holly Place, Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1501 Reedsdale St., Suite 105, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
