Donald S. Marks

Donald S. Marks, 74, of Greensburg, died Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  He was born August 23, 1948, in Latrobe, a son of the late Donald E. and Florence (Shaw) Marks.  Donald was a Marine Corps veteran.  Prior to retirement he had been a machine operator for Elliott Company in Jeannette.  He was a member of the Greensburg Sportsmen’s Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Marks and Thomas Marks.  He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Darlene H. (Thomas) Marks; his daughter, Donna Shafer and husband Dana, and their children, Jonathan, Joshua, and Olivia; his son, Jeffrey Marks and wife Marianne, and their children, Katelyn and Jacob; his sister, Phyllis Mellon; and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Thomas J. Kroll officiating.  Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park with Military Honors accorded by the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg Honor Guard.  www.bachafh.com
