David Danko Obituary

David A. Danko, 82, of Greensburg, died Sunday, March 5, 2023, at his home.  He was born August 7, 1940, in Greensburg, a son of the late John Stephen and Margaret (Onusko) Danko.  He was a Navy veteran.  Prior to retirement he had been the President and CEO of Quality Mould, Inc.  He also had been the former plant manager of Overmyer Mould, Greensburg.  David was a member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 981, South Greensburg.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Smartnick; and his brother, James Danko.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Catherine A. (Blahovec) Danko; his daughter, Sharon Danko and fiancé Wesley Hampton; his son, David J. Danko and wife, Jamie; two grandchildren, Kelsey Trumbetta (Justin) and Justin Campbell (Kenzie Hunterbrinker); two brothers-in-law, Edward Smartnick and Joseph Blahovec; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved granddogs.  Friends will be received from 4 to 7 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday in St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg.  Please go directly to the church.  Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park with Full Military Honors to be accorded by the American Legion Post No. 981, South Greensburg Honor Guard.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Top Dog Therapy Team Willow Fund in honor of Izzy, P.O.
