Daniel A. Haines, 63, of Southwest Greensburg, passed away on November 7, 2025. Born on July 22, 1962, he was a son of the late Jamie A. “Cookie” (Stewart) and Daniel R. Haines. Daniel was known for his warm sense of humor, his love for old westerns, music, and spending quality time with family and friends. He was employed for over 12 years at Westmoreland Candy and Cigar and his workplace was often brightened by his jokes and cheerful demeanor. In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his sister, Denise Haines. Surviving are two brothers, Thomas Haines and his wife Cheryl of Latrobe and Dennis Haines of Greensburg; a sister, Sandra Haines and her friend Wayne of Greensburg; nephew, Michael Stillitano and his wife Christina; and a dear friend, Coleen Mathias and her children, who affectionately called him “Pap Daniel”; additionally he leaves behind several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Services for Daniel will be private, and a Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
