Clifford E. Schweinsburg, Jr., 79, of New Stanton, died Thursday, September 5, 2024. He was born February 12, 1945, in Hempfield Township, a son of the late Clifford E. Sr. and Betty Elaine (Porter) Schweinsburg. Prior to retirement he had been the owner of CS Truck Repair. He was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Clifford was a member of Hecla Sportsman’s Club, Lloydsville Sportsman’s Club, East Huntingdon Fireman’s Club, and the South Greensburg Hunt Club. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 446, Mount Pleasant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Schweinsburg. Clifford is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Janet S. (Smolka) Schweinsburg; his son, Clifford E. Schweinsburg, III (Chrissy); three step-grandchildren, Brystol, Ryan, and Alyssa; four step-great-grandchildren, Logan, Ayden, Waylon, and Izzie; five sisters, Betty Fordyce, Peggy Lutz, Caroline Olson (Bob), Arlene Bossart, and Donna Stewart; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home Tuesday by the American Legion Post No. 446, Mount Pleasant, followed by funeral service to begin at 10:30 AM with the Rev. John Smaligo officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. www.bachafh.com
