Cheryl A. Schmidt, 79, of Armbrust, went to Heaven to be with Our Lord on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. She was born May 8, 1945, in Boston, MA, a daughter of the late Michael and Beulah L. (Arnold) Schultz. Prior to retirement, Cheryl had been employed by Henry Printing. She was a member of Calvary Chapel, Greensburg. She was also a member of the NRA and a hunter safety instructor for 49 years. Cheryl loved spending time with her family, hunting, going to the casino, and playing cards with her card club ladies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Schultz; her sister, Bonnie Schultz; her beloved grandson, Michael Lee Schmidt; and her father and mother-in-law, Arnold and Ruth Schmidt. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 55 years, John W. Schmidt; four children, Karen Schmidt, Lori Altman (Bric), John D. Schmidt (Desirae), and Russel Schmidt (Michelle); her stepdaughter, Teresa Nunnery-Thomspon (Robert); four grandchildren, J.J. (Natasha), Laci, Lindsey (Mike), and Halie (Cole); four great grandchildren, Grayson, Garrett, Callahan, and Carter; two sisters, Audrey and Dianne; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday at Calvary Chapel, 207 Hudson Ave., Greensburg, followed by a funeral service to begin at 11 AM.
