Cheryl L. Nelson

Cheryl L. Nelson, 73, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, October 18, 2023.  She was born February 17, 1950, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Albert C. and Sarah B. (Morris) Roach.  Prior to retirement she had been a lifelong employee at Robertshaw Controls, New Stanton.  She was a member of the Hempfield Hunt Club and Steelworkers union. Cheryl enjoyed gardening and being the navigator on trips for Sunday breakfasts to the Amish Country. She also loved her pets, Molly, Blu, and Shadow.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Allen Roach, Paul Roach, and Ricky Roach; and sister Vicki Roach. She is survived by her loving husband, Jan C. Nelson; two sons, Ethan C. Nelson (Charlotte) and Aaron J. Nelson (Lisa); two granddaughters; two brothers, Dennis Roach (Linda), Lonny Roach, and a sister Kyle Ninehouser (Paul); and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral service will begin at 1 PM in the funeral home with The Rev. David Greer officiating.  Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.   www.bachafh.com
