Charles E. Teaters

Charles E. Teaters, 94, of Scottdale, formerly of Unity Township, died Monday, June 22, 2026, at Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  He was born January 8, 1932, in Tarrs, a son of the late Charles A. and Florence (Millward) Teaters.  Chuck was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War.  He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Mount Pleasant.  Prior to retirement he had been employed by Bankson Engineers, Inc., Pittsburgh, and in retirement worked at Walmart in Latrobe.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis J. (McBeth) Teaters; his son, Larry Teaters; and two brothers, Donald and Leroy Teaters.  He is survived by two daughters, Kitty Depta (late William), and Jody Monticue (Timothy Skodak); 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; five siblings, Mary Cathrine Bowman, and Robert, David, James, and Thomas Teaters; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday with The Rev. David Clement officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery with full military honors to be accorded by the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg Honor Guard.  www.bachafh.com
