Charles Debich, 94, of Greensburg, died Friday, May 3, 2024, at his home. He was born January 17, 1930, in Greensburg, a son of the late John and Katherine (Beck) Debich. Prior to retirement Chuck worked as a welder for Overly Manufacturing for 44 years.
He was a member of St. Paul Parish, Greensburg. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 981, South Greensburg Honor Guard, Jednota Club, the Roosevelt Club, Mount Odin Golf Association, and a longtime member of the YMCA. Chuck was also a founding member of COAL Athletic Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Michael, John, Joe, George, and Paul Debich; and three sisters, Ann Morgan, Mary Kapusta, and Pauline Shaffer. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Patricia A. (Serenko) Debich; four children, Diane Spicer (Scott), Karen Kane (Robert), Charles Debich (Debbie) and Michael Debich (Nancy Shaw); eight grandchildren, Kayla Amante (Jason) and Marisa Debich (Wesley Eddington) and their mother Diane Hamlin, Elizabeth, Ashley, and Nicholas Debich and their mother, Christina Debich, Tara Miller (Jacob), Alana Kane, and Andrew Spicer; two great grandchildren, Oliver and Aiden; two siblings, Steven Debich (Elsie) and Kay Gernhardt (Dave); and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Paul Parish, Greensburg. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Greensburg with Full Military Honors accorded by the American Legion Post No. 981, South Greensburg Honor Guard.
