Catherine Campolongo, 105, of Greensburg, died Saturday, May 27, 2023, in her home. She was born September 16, 1917, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Michael Dursa and Helen (Lutsko) Dursa. Prior to retirement she had been employed by the City of Greensburg in the Sanitation Department. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. She was also a member of the former Catholic Daughters of America No. 306, Greensburg. Catherine enjoyed swimming, sewing, and traveling with her husband, Peter. Her greatest joy though was caring for her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter P. Campolongo; three brothers, Thomas, Theodore “Fred”, and Matthew “Mike” Dursa; and two sisters, Helen Dursa and Anne Svader. She is survived by her children, Barbara Doherty and husband Thomas, Robert Campolongo and wife Charlene, and Peter Campolongo, Jr.; a special family friend, Karol Hartman; three grandchildren, Jennifer Gosley (Jerry Toppins), Monica Campolongo (Shane Wickline), and Liane Raymann (Thomas); two great-grandchildren, Kendel and Evan; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9 AM Thursday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 9:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
