Carolyn Pelar

Carolyn Pelar, 85, of Greensburg, died Saturday, April 4, 2026.  She was born on February 4, 1941, in New Kensington, a daughter of the late George and Anna (Pavuk) Pelar.  Carolyn had worked in housekeeping at Seton Hill University and Westmoreland Hospital.  She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Greensburg.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Barbara Pelar; and her brother, Raymond Pelar.  She is survived by nieces and nephews, Patrick Pelar, John Pelar (Angie), Ginny Barclay (Jeff), and Sue Ellen Prinkey; two great nephews, Alex Barclay and Jacob Pelar; her sister-in-law, Donna Pelar; and several cousins.  Friends will be received from 9 to 11 AM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg where a funeral liturgy will begin at 11 AM.  Interment will follow in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Township.  www.bachafh.com
