Carole L. Thomas, 83, of Norvelt, died Monday, December 22, 2025 in Bethlen Concordia Home, Ligonier. She was born May 29, 1942 in Webster, a daughter of the late Lester and Gertrude (Lynn) Mognet. Prior to retirement she worked at Electro Glass Products and previously worked at the former Roosevelt room both in Norvelt. She had been a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Youngwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Thomas, Jr., a son-in-law, David Smith and her brothers, Clyde and James. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Sue Smith and Marsha Ackerman (Rev. David) all of Greensburg, 2 grandchildren, Emily Burnheimer and Greg Gilliand (Gavin) and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 AM Saturday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, when funeral services will be held at 11 AM with The Rev. David L. Greer officiating. Private interment in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Bethlen Concordia and Suncrest Hospice for their loving care. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Drive, Delmont, PA 15626.
