Carol I. "Mudge" Moczydlowsky, 79, of Trauger, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, after a battle with cancer. She was born December 24, 1943, in Sewickley, a daughter of the late Paul G. and Sarah J. (Duda) Moczydlowsky. Prior to retirement, she worked 45 years at Powerex and formerly Westinghouse, Youngwood. Carol was a member of St. Florian Catholic Church, United, and the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Calumet. She was a member of the Powerex bowling and golf leagues, member of the Powerex picnic committee and member of the Trauger VFD Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis M. Moczydlowsky. She is survived by her sister, Paula Jean Cutlip and husband, Bernie, of Pleasant Unity; a brother, Paul "Butch" Moczydlowsky and wife, Cindy, of Gansevoort, N.Y.; four nieces and nephews, Amy Sorbera and husband, Peter, of Ballston Spa, N.Y., Brandee Cutlip, of Woodbridge, Va., Michael Moczydlowsky and wife Sandra, of Ballston Spa, N.Y. and Brian Cutlip and wife, Casie of Bolivia, N.C.; four great-nieces and -nephews, Madelyn Moczydlowsky, Brady Cutlip, and Sarah and Nicholas Sorbera; and several cousins. At Carol's request, a private funeral liturgy was held at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, with the Rev. Daniel J. Ulishney, as celebrant.
