Carl O. Dobies, 81, of South Greensburg, died Friday, January 2, 2026, at his home. He was born June 2, 1944, in Greensburg, a son of the late Stanley C. and Lucy M. (Boehme) Dobies. Prior to retirement, Carl had been a corrections officer at the Westmoreland County Prison. He had also worked at ITE in South Greensburg. He was a lifelong member of the South Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department and the United Club. He was also a member at Donegal American Legion Riders, and the Pennsylvania Spyders. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Livingston and Carolyn Mariani; his brother-in-law, Ron Sadler; and his nephew, Michael Dobies. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. (Mariani) Dobies; his brother, Stanley Dobies (Linda); his brother-in-law, Antonio Mariani; his sister-in-law, Josephine Sadler; and several nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews.
