Beth L. McCall, 59, of Greensburg, PA, passed away on August 1, 2025.
Born on July 21, 1966, in Greensburg, Beth was a devoted mother, proud grandmother, and a woman whose warmth and love touched everyone she met. She was the heart of her family—always there with a home-cooked meal, a hand-sewn gift, or a festive touch to make the holidays special.
Beth is survived by her loving children, Derek Chew and his wife Brianne, of Irwin, Daniel Chew, Jr. and his wife Heather, of Greensburg, and daughters, Sara Chew and Katie Chew, both of Greensburg. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Jayden, Mason, Roman, Aubri-Lynn, Sophia, and Lilly. She is also survived by her brother George McCall, of Greensburg; and her sister, Bonnie Schmidt and her husband Ray, of Delmont.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marie McCall, and by her former husband and dear friend, Daniel Chew, Sr.
Beth will be remembered for her incredible generosity, her creativity in the kitchen and at the sewing machine, and the deep love she had for her family. But above all, the title of “Grammy” was her greatest accomplishment. Even in her weakest moments, hearing the voices of her grandchildren lit an undeniable fire in her—reminding everyone of just how fiercely and fully she loved.
A celebration of Beth’s life will be held on Sunday, August 17th from 12 to 4 PM at Hempfield Park, Pavilion F. Beth loved getting together with family and friends—she wasn’t one for stuffy emotions and would want everyone to enjoy each other’s company, share stories, and have a good time in her honor.
Her presence brought comfort and joy, and her absence leaves an ache that will be felt forever.
