Bertha “Sis” (Yakim) D’Angelo, 96, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Mountain View Senior Living, Greensburg. She was born November 9, 1926, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late George and Anna (Zupko) Yakim. She was a member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg. She loved attending activities and sporting events for her grandchildren and then her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed family reunions and gatherings where she could catch up with all her relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso C. D’Angelo; her son, Carl D’Angelo; an infant son; two brothers, Eddie Yakim and Albert Yakim; her sister, Patty Kozenko; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her daughter, Marian Giacobbi (Bob); her son, Mark D’Angelo (Lugene); six grandchildren, Ann Giacobbi, Mary Giacobbi, Allen Giacobbi (Laura), Joe Giacobbi (Amanda), Mario D’Angelo, and Maria Sears (Kyle); six great-grandchildren, Sam, Alice, Evie, Charlie, Joey, and Henry Giacobbi; two brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
