Barbara J. (McLaughlin) Champion

Barbara J. Champion, 88, of Southwest Greensburg died Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Twin Lakes Rehabilitation and Health Center.  She was born on March 10, 1938, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Evelyn (Linhart) and James McLaughlin.

Barbara had a beautiful voice and sang at many weddings and in church during her youth.  She loved spending time with her lifelong best friend Audrey Kidd before her passing in 2016. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Champion, Sr.; and a brother, Thomas McLaughlin.  Barbara is survived by her two sons, David and Shawn Champion of Southwest Greensburg; a daughter, Denise Ritenour (Donald) of Latrobe; three granddaughters, Nicole, Katelin, and Samantha; two sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg, www.bachafh.com  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 11 AM.
