Arthur R. Metz, Jr.

Arthur R. Metz, Jr., 64, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Forbes Regional Hospital after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  He was born September 27, 1960 in Latrobe, a son of the late Arthur R. Sr. and Mary M. (Ulishney) Metz.  He was a graduate of Greater Latrobe High School and St. Vincent College.  Prior to his illness he worked for Valley Tire, Charleroi.  He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Marguerite, the United Slovak Club and Unity Township American Legion Post #982.  He is survived by his wife, Sharon L. (Mento) Metz, 4 children, Stephen A. Metz (Diane), Angela Shrum (Joshua), Jesse Metz and Cara Millwater (Thomas), 3 grandchildren, Carter Millwater, Emily Shrum and soon to arrive baby girl Millwater, his brother, Alan Metz (Sharon), 2 brothers-in-law, Samuel Mento (Phyllis) and Anthony Mento, a sister-in-law, Joann Maus (Warren) and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity.  Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Monday in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Benedict Catholic Church, Marguerite.  Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery, Unity Township.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Benedict Church, 260 Bruno Road, Greensburg, PA 15601 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1100 Liberty Avenue, Suite E201, Pittsburgh, PA  15222.
