Annette Joan (Hetzel) Poska

Our Mom, Annette Joan Poska, 88, of Greensburg, PA died on May 5, 2026, in Greene Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Akron, Ohio on September 11, 1937, a daughter of the late John Michael Hetzel and Gertrude (Halter) Hetzel-Menegay.

Annette grew up in Akron. She married our father, Edward J. Poska, in November 1958 and raised their family together in Southwestern Pennsylvania.  She had a long career as a registered nurse and later got her real estate license to sell homes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Poska; her sister, Marie Hetzel; her brother, Edward Hetzel; her two grandchildren, Alex Housel and Deanna Poska; and her daughter-in-law, Victoria Poska.

Mom is survived by her four children, Michael Poska of Greensburg, Cynthia and husband James Housel of Rochester, MI, Jean and husband Zane Leeper of Greensburg, and David Poska of Greensburg. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the LEO M.
