Ann (Chevrenick) Redd

Ann (Chervenick) Redd, 91, of Greensburg, died Thursday, March 1, 2018 in her home.  She was born October 26, 1926 near Smithton, a daughter of the late Michael and Barbara (Tutko) Chervenick.  She graduated from Sewickley Township High School and later from Greensburg Academy of Cosmetology.  Ann had been employed by Jersey Cereal in Hahntown, Serro’s Diner in North Huntingdon and as a beautician at Michael’s Beauty Salon in Greensburg.  Her most recent job was as hostess at Mr. P’s Restaurant and Lounge.  In her free time, Ann liked to play the machines.  She was a member of SNPJ, Fox Hill and AMS Clubs.  Ann’s greatest pastime was baking.  She will always be remembered for her apple pies and Texas sheet cakes.  Ann leaves behind her daughters, Patricia Fordyce (Will Swartz), of Greensburg and Sandra Okum (Ron), of Mechanicsburg.  Also surviving are grandchildren, Ryan (Shelly) Fordyce, of Dickinson, TX, Jeremy (Jaime) Fordyce, of Greensburg, Ashley (Charles) Weaver, of Mechanicsburg and Kellye Okum, of Hummelstown.  There are also four great-granddaughters, Taylor, Rylie, Maddie and Hayley Fordyce.  Her surviving siblings are Dr. Paul (Shirley) Chervenick, of Tampa, FL and Andrew Chervenick, of Grass Valley, CA.  Also surviving are a niece and nephew, Karen Chervenick, of Tampa, FL and David Chervenick, of Pittsburgh; and several other nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Ann is predeceased by an infant granddaughter, Heather Okum; and seven siblings, Michael Chervenick, George Chervenick, John Chervenick, Joseph Chervenick, William Chervenick, Margaret Hoyt and Marie Smith.  Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Anette V. Gerber officiating.  Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  www.bachafh.com
