Ann M. Petroy, 91, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, surrounded by her devoted family. She was born on July 2, 1933, in Mokrance Czechoslovakia, a daughter of the late George, Sr. and Anna (Korpa) Vislay. Anna lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to those she held dear. For more than 65 years, Ann shared a remarkable bond with her devoted husband, Anthony Petroy who was her greatest love and steadfast companion. She was a member of St. Bruno Church in South Greensburg, the Women of the Moose, and the Rosary Altar Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, John Visley, Andrew, George, and Joseph Vislay; four sisters, Terry Polechko, Helen Costello, Mary Costello, and Marge Jarecki. She is survived by her son, Bruce Petroy (Suzan); two daughters, Linda Bush and Lisa Petroy who were her sunshine and constant source of joy. She was a proud grandmother who cherished every moment with Haylee her greatest treasure. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ann’s beautiful personality shone through her many passions. Above all she was known for her warmth, kindness and unwavering commitment to her family and God always putting others needs above her own. Her steadfast faith and love for God is what made her the wonderful person she was. St. Bruno Rosary Altar Society will pray the rosary beginning at 2:45 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg followed by a visitation from 3 to 6 PM. Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Bruno Church, South Greensburg. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
