Alfred E. Ulishney, 88, of Unity Township, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, of Greensburg. He was born Feb. 5, 1932, in Marguerite, a son of the late Paul J. and Harriet G. (Hoon) Ulishney. Alfred was a graduate of Latrobe High School and served with the Navy during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he worked at PPG Industries, of South Greensburg. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of Youngstown, Kingston Vets & Sportsmen's Club and he loved to golf. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jo Ulishney; and his brother, Terrence Ulishney. He is survived by his wife, Nola J. Ulishney; three sons, Robert and wife, Lisa, of Unity Township, Daniel and wife, Amanda, of Williamsburg, Va., and Joseph Ulishney and wife, Michelle, of Harrisburg; a stepson, Kenneth Ankeny and wife, Dana, of Unity Township; five grandchildren, Jacob (wife Kim), Jenna, Matthew, David and Kimberly; a stepgrandson, Gavin; three sisters, Rose Marie McKelvey, Bernadette Eltringham and husband, Kurt, all of Unity Township, and Mary Lou Gorton and husband, Sam, of Mammoth; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, at LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, PA 15676. A private funeral liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, with the Rev. James F. Podlesny, OSB as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery, of Unity Township. Please be prepared to adhere to all current health guidelines, including face masks and social distancing. Funeral home occupancy will be limited as well.
