Alex Kip Schimizzi

Alex Kip Schimizzi, 32, of Indiana, PA., and formerly of Greensburg, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, in his home. He was the beloved son of Dr. David M. Schimizzi and Sandra Wolk Schimizzi of Greensburg. Alex was born in Louisville, KY., and attended Westmoreland County Community College. He was employed by Romeo's Pizzeria & Mediterranean Kitchen in Indiana, as a cook with aspirations to become a chef. Alex enjoyed playing guitar, bass guitar and drums, water skiing and kayaking. He was an extensive reader and a clear, crisp writer. He loved nature and spent much of his childhood at Deep Creek Lake. He loved caring for animals, especially his three cats. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joseph Wolk and John Schimizzi. He is survived by his parents, Dr. David M. and Sandra Wolk Schimizzi; his girlfriend, Stephanie Timbrook; grandmothers Valeria Sofranko Wolk and Beverly McLaughlin Schimizzi.  He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Terri (Wolk) and Chet Czarniak of Virginia; Anita (Wolk) and Terry Foriska of Latrobe and Dawn (Schimizzi) and Richard Smith of Leechburg. Friends and family will be received Thursday, November 2, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg from 10 AM to 11 AM.
