Albina A. “Bina” Guerrieri, 80, of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, after a brief illness. Born in Greensburg on October 28, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary (Merlino) Guerrieri. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, James Palmer (Marie), Frank Palmer (Theresa), Ralph Palmer, and Mary Jane Palmer. She is survived by two brothers, Donald Guerrieri, of Greensburg, and Richard Guerrieri (Paula), of Stafford, VA; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Bina attended Greensburg High School and graduated with the class of 1959. Following graduation, she began a long secretarial career, working for the Diocese of Greensburg and received the Assumption Award for her service to the Diocese. During those years, she worked in various capacities: Mission Office, Archives, and for a number of years as secretary to the late Most Reverend Anthony G. Bosco, former Bishop of Greensburg. Bina enjoyed traveling the U.S. and to Europe a number of times. A very memorable and heart-warming vacation was a trip taken with her brothers to their father’s birthplace in Patrica (Frosinone), Italy where they connected with cousins and walked in their father’s footsteps as they explored the little mountain village where he grew up. She remained active in retirement with volunteer activities at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, St. Anne Home for the Elderly, and Caritas Christi, Seton Hill. Bina was a lifelong member of St. Paul Parish, Greensburg, where she attended morning Mass and was a past participant in several parish ministries. She was an active member of the Dante Alighieri Lodge (ISDA), and a longtime member of the Columbia Federation. Bina was a thoughtful, caring, and gracious lady with many friends. Most of all, she was a wonderful sister who will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Paul Parish, Greensburg. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. www.bachafh.com
