Adrian F. Horvath, 75, of Greensburg, died Monday, January 20, 2025, at his home. He was born March 16, 1949, in Braddock, a son of the late Andrew J. and Elizabeth C. (Hizer) Horvath. Prior to retirement, Adrian was the maintenance and development coordinator for Westmoreland County Parks and Roads. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Greensburg. Adrian was a member of Boy Scouts of America where he earned many accomplishments including, the Thunderbird Award, Lodge Chief, Lodge Advisor, Eagle Scout Camp Scoutmaster, the Silver Beaver Recipient, and a Vigil Honor Member. He led, followed, mentored and supported hundreds of youths for more than 50 years in scouting. Adrian’s quotes, quips, and one-liners will be passed on by his scouts while leaving their own mark on the lodge and camp. He was also a member of the Pennsylvania Parks and Recreation Society. Adrian enjoyed his annual fishing trips with his buddies to Canada and the Outer Banks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alivia Owczykowski; and his sister, Rosalie Horvath. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Luann M. (Firment) Horvath; three children, Andrew Horvath, Emily Owczykowski, and Aaron Horvath (Emily Raneri); three granddaughters, Audrina Owczykowski, Hailey Horvath, and Riley Horvath; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. The family would like to thank Independence Health Hospice, especially Nancy Highrack and Luann’s sister, Paula Facemyer for their loving care.
