Tyler S. Smith Sr., 27, of Tarrs, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at home. He was born Nov. 10, 1990, in Latrobe, a son of Nathan S. and Mary Jo (Takacs) Smith, of Ligonier. Tyler worked for M and N Masonry of Ruffs Dale, was a member of Jacobs Creek Methodist Church and member of the East Huntingdon Township VFD Firemen's Club. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jamie Turcaso. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife: Briana N. (VanSickle) Smith; two children, Tyler Scott Smith Jr. and Aralyn Nicole Smith; his sister, Katie A. Smith, of New Alexandria; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Craver, of Ligonier; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends will be received from noon to 2 and 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, at which time funeral services will be held with Pastor Tom Jones officiating.
