Stella T. Hench, 93, of New Castle, formerly of Greensburg, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 in New Wilmington, PA.  She was born July 14, 1924 in New Castle, a daughter of the late John and Victoria (Gumienny) Turkiewicz.  Prior to retirement she had been a manager for Bell Telephone Company with 38 years of service.  She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg, the Youthful Seniors of the church and the Bell Telephone Pioneers Club.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years: Frank C. Hench who preceded her in death on August 19, 1994; six sisters: Anne Trimble, Helen Turkiewicz, Gertrude Reston, Betty Kalodzy, Loretta Domenick and Virginia Farrington; and three brothers: Francis Turkiewicz, John Turkiewicz and Theodore Thorman.  She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  There will be no public visitation.  Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at 10 AM Friday in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg.  Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.  LEO M.
